Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Last updated: July 22, 2026

BargainBot does not sell your personal information — period.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This page exists to make that commitment explicit and to explain your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state privacy laws.

What we collect

To operate BargainBot we collect information you provide (name, email, password), usage data (search queries, alert preferences, subscription status), and technical data (IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies). See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the service, under strict data-processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes:

  • Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions
  • Airo email gateway — transactional email delivery (price alerts, account notices)
  • GoDaddy C2 analytics — site analytics, loaded only after you accept cookies

We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of BargainBot and its users.

Cookies & analytics consent

When you first visit BargainBot you are shown a cookie consent banner. Analytics tracking (session, pageview, and click events sent to GoDaddy's C2 platform) is loaded only if you click Accept. If you click Decline, or close the banner without accepting, no analytics scripts are loaded and no tracking cookies are set.

You can withdraw consent at any time by calling window.revokeAnalyticsConsent() in your browser console, which clears the stored preference and re-shows the banner on your next visit.

Affiliate & retailer cookies

When you click a retailer link (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) you leave BargainBot and land on the retailer's site. Each retailer may set their own cookies to track purchases for affiliate commission purposes. Those cookies are governed by the retailer's own privacy policy — BargainBot does not control them. You can opt out of Amazon interest-based ads at amazon.com/adprefs.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you
  • Know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed, and to whom
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell it, but the right exists)
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days as required by the CCPA.
